All four of us have graduated from the top music colleges and have had several years of professional experience. We formed our quartet in 2004 and have gone from strength to strength performing all over the South West.

REBECCA ALLNATT, Cello, studied at the Royal College of Music and has worked since with many orchestras including the London Camerata and the London Festival Orchestra. Rebecca has also toured Spain with the English Mozart Players. Since her move to Devon, Rebecca has been in much demand as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher and has been a member of the Ten Tors Chamber Orchestra for over five years.
FIONA MCLEAN-BUECHEL studied at Royal Scottish Academy of Music under Warren Jacobs and Peter Mountain and at the Royal Academy of Music under Haroutune Bedelian and Norbert Brainin. She was appointed to the teaching staff at the Guildhall School Of Music and Drama Junior department joining the schools external examination department, giving lectures, designing marking schemes and examining as a strings specialist. Her performance tours as a soloist and chamber musician include Russia, France, Germany, and the UK. Now based in the southwest, Fiona combines a busy career with chamber performances and orchestral leading with a passion for educational projects. Her educational project work for South West Camerata and JUTP Music, of which she is Creative Director, has been featured in the European String Teachers Association Magazine, nominated for a Royal Philharmonic Society award for education and will be featured in the Making Music Magazine Hi-Notes May 2013 edition. She has recently been appointed to the International Guild of workshop presenters and festival adjudicators.
LINDSAY BRAGA, Violin, studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Richard Deakin and carried on her studies afterwards with Wen Zhou Li. Over the next ten years she worked as a first violinist with many orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Welsh National Opera, the English National Ballet, the Goldberg Ensemble and Manchester Camerata. Lindsay has always been a committed violin teacher and has given workshops as part of the education department at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and taught at the Royal Northern College of Music Junior Department. Since her move to Devon Lindsay has also begun playing with the Ten Tors Chamber Orchestra.
CATHRYN McCRACKEN, Viola, won an Exhibition to study at the Royal College of Music in 1982 graduating in 1986, the winner of the coveted Cecil Aronowitz prize for Post Graduate study. Her first job was with the BBC Radio Orchestra and she went on to build a very busy and successful freelance career spanning the next 20 years. She has played with most of the major London Orchestras including the Philharmonia and the London Festival Orchestra and has enjoyed many Ballet seasons touring and playing in the Coliseum and Royal Opera House with the Birmingham Royal Ballet Sinfonia. Cathryn has also played in many West End shows including Oliver, Love Never Dies, and the long running Les Miserable and The Phantom of the Opera. In 2006 Cathryn moved to Devon with her young family where she happily joined The Four Seasons String Quartet and began playing with the Ten Tors Orchestra. She is the current string teacher at Hazlegrove prep school in Somerset which has a thriving highly successful Music department and also teaches privately in Devon.
