Do you want that great string sound on your recordings?

We are all experienced at recording tracks to pop songs, background music, TV and film music. Live strings will make all the difference.

Recently we have been working with Paul Honey on 2 albums for Inspired music.  Some of these tracks have been used for BBC4 on theirTimeshift, Magnificent Machines programme.  We have also provided the string backing for this album which was used in the BBC’s “Queen Victoria’s Children”

Paul says: “Working with the quartet in the recording studio is always a pleasure. The professionalism, flexibility and speed at which they work always makes the session go very smoothly and enjoyably.”

If you have written a track and would like it arranged for strings we would highly recommend Paul Honey who can take any idea (written or by ear) and make it sound fabulous for strings.

We can be booked as a string quartet, trio, duo or solo. No undertaking is too big or too small. One of our violinists, Lindsay, works regularly with songwriter Jeff Lowe to provide violin backing on tracks from his albums.

Jeff says: “Lindsay’s musical sensitivity, imagination and excellent classical training makes her a first class musician. It’s always a pleasure to book her for violin sessions in South Street Studios. She’s always ready to improvise and adapt to any given musical enterprise. Although I often compose the parts I ask her to play she often embellishes what I’ve set out or comes up with a better idea.”

We can also provide advice on the best recording studios in this beautiful part of the country
